Copper Landing Italian Restaraunt,
Disappointed in T'ville (guest)

My husband and I visited Copper Landing when they first opened and found the whole experience to be rather bland. We decided to give it another try yesterday (12/3/08) thinking the letdown was due to it being a new establishment. Let me preface this by saying that the wait time and service were excellent!! The bread and dipping sauce were wonderful! The soft drinks and sweet tea were good as well. The menu has been scaled back since the grand opening, but there were still plenty of options to choose from. When the waitress brought out the lasagna we ordered, we were told to be very careful of the extremely hot plate on top. It was blistering! We took that as a good sign of fresh, hot food. Mine was lukewarm, but, still, warm. My husband's lasagna, however, was cold. His plate was too hot to handle, but the middle of his food was actually COLD. Did I mention that we were the only 2 customers in the entire restaurant? There is absolutely no reason for us to have microwaved food that is still cold when it comes to the table. FYI: They also reuse the leftover salad dressing cups that you do not use. When we were leaving, the waitress asked “Did you use this one? We don’t want to waste it!” We didn’t ask for extra dressing, she brought it voluntarily. Who knows how many people had it in front of them before it was brought to our table. We had such high hopes for them and really wanted them to succeed!!! The place looks so cozy inside and you can tell they put a lot of time and effort into the appearance. Now, if they could only get the food up to par.
